How to Join

There are different types of membership in the Manitoba Society of Occupational Therapists, each with its own advantages that reflect the different roles occupational therapists play in the community.

Active Membership - $100 per year (June 1 – May 31)

To be eligible for Active Membership, you must be a graduate of an occupational therapy education program in Canada accredited by CAOT or from an occupational therapy program outside of Canada recognized by WFOT.

Associate Membership – $37.50 per year (June 1 – May 31)

Associate Membership is for retired occupational therapists who have previously held active registration with MSOT. Associate members have the right to attend meetings, be voting members and to hold office in the Society. In addition, Associate Members are eligible to serve on committees of the Society and vote as such.

Affiliate Membership – $37.50 per year (June 1 – May 31)

Affiliate Membership is for individuals who work in a role assisting occupational therapists in their practice as well as for individuals, groups or organizations interested in the OT profession (Some conditions apply. For more information, e-mail or phone (204) 957-1214)

Student Membership – No Fee (One Year Only)

Students at the University of Manitoba in the entry-level occupational therapy program are automatically members of MSOT for the duration of the academic year.

New Grad Membership - $50.00 (One Year Only)

New grads from the University of Manitoba program may take advantage of a discounted membership rate until the end of the registration year.

Out of Province Membership – $45.00

Occupational therapists and OT students living outside of Manitoba can also become part of MSOT as a means of staying informed and connected to developments taking place in the province. However, Out of Province members have different levels of access, rights and responsibilities.
