MSOT membership helps strengthen the occupational therapy community within Manitoba and enables us to initiate growth and respond to changes within our profession. The MSOT membership year runs from June 1 to May 31. Current members will receive an annual renewal package in the mail.

Annual Renewal Package

MSOT registration renewal packages are in the mail. All categories of membership are required to renew their registration on an annual basis. The following documents comprise the 2015 – 2016 MSOT Registration Renewal Package:

How to Join

MSOT has a number of different  membership options, each with its own advantages that reflect the different roles occupational therapists play in the community.

Active Membership – $100 per year (June 1 – May 31)

To be eligible for Active Membership, you must be a graduate of an occupational therapy education program in Canada accredited by CAOT or from an occupational therapy program outside of Canada recognized by WFOT.

Associate Membership – $37.50 per year (June 1 – May 31)

The Associate Membership option is for retired occupational therapists who previously held active registration with MSOT. Associate members have the right to attend meetings, be voting members and to hold office in the Society and serve on committees.

Affiliate Membership – $37.50 per year (June 1 – May 31)

Affiliate Membership is for individuals who work in a role assisting occupational therapists in their practice as well as for individuals, groups or organizations interested in the OT profession (Conditions apply. For more information, e-mail or phone (204) 957-1214)

New Grad Membership – $50.00 (One Year Only)

New grads from the University of Manitoba program may take advantage of a discounted membership rate until the end of the registration year.

Out of Province Membership – $45.00

Occupational therapists and OT students living outside of Manitoba can also become part of MSOT as a means of staying informed and connected to developments within Manitoba. (Out of Province members have different levels of access, rights and responsibilities.)

Student Membership – No Fee

Students enrolled in the Masters of Occupational Therapy program at the University of Manitoba qualify for a FREE membership with MSOT for the duration of their academic studies. MOT students are eligible to receive a link to a digital copy of the Update newsletter. Each September, students are asked to indicate their interest in obtaining a student membership and receiving MSOT emails by subscribing to an MSOT email list.
