Manitoba Society of Occupational Therapists Research Foundation (MSOTRF)

The MSOT Research Foundation is responsible for several key activities and programs at the organization.

The Foundation is responsible for:

  • Working in partnership with the Canadian Occupational Therapy Foundation.
  • Offering the MARY JUDD RESEARCH GRANT an annual award of up to $1,000.00 open to MSOT and CAOT members conducting research in Manitoba. (Applications must be received in the MSOT office by 4:00 p.m. on the first Monday of November annually.)
  • Offering occupational therapists presenting at national or international scientific meetings the opportunity to win an annual MSOTRF Presentation Award of $500.00. Closing date for applications is the second Monday of January each year.
  • Granting a $100.00 award to the University of Manitoba Occupational Therapy student with the highest marks in the "Research Methods for Evidence Based Practice" course.
  • Planing fund-raising events to generate funds for our Research and Presentation awards
  • Writing a regular column in the MSOT newsletter to update members on MSOTRF activities
