Manitoba Society of Occupational Therapists Research Foundation (MSOTRF)

The MSOT Research Foundation is responsible for several key activities and programs at the organization.

The Foundation is responsible for:

  • Working in partnership with the Canadian Occupational Therapy Foundation.
  • Offering the MARY JUDD RESEARCH GRANT an annual award of up to $1,000.00 open to MSOT and CAOT members conducting research in Manitoba. (Closing date for applications is November 1st.)
  • Offering occupational therapists presenting at national or international scientific meetings the opportunity to win an annual MSOTRF Presentation Award of $500.00. Closing date for applications is the second Monday of January each year.
  • Granting a $100.00 award to the University of Manitoba Occupational Therapy student with the highest marks in Statistics and Research Methods.
  • Holding two annual fund-raising events: a summer golf tournament and a rainbow auction at the MSOT Annual General Meeting.
  • Coordinating an annual research edition of MSOT's newsletter, UPDATE.
